Therapeutic Massage
Having fostered a working knowledge of structural integration and body awareness through years of martial arts, modern dance and voice performance, Alyssa Northrop strives to help her clients achieve a healthy, knowledgeable relationship with their own bodies. Ms. Northrop completed her massage training at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2002 and refined her work as a massage therapist at Bellanina Day Spa in Ann Arbor, Michigan through 2005. Ms. Northrop collaborated in the opening of Kaizen Healing Arts wellness center, where she continued her practice through 2011. She currently offers therapeutic massage at her office at 43rd and Bryant in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Ms. Northrop employs her training in Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release to relieve trigger points and adhesions that cause pain and restrict range of motion. She also develops personalized stretching and strengthening exercises, which naturally lead to more permanent relief of symptoms through improved posture and a healthier way of movement.Â

Nutrition Counseling
After a lifetime of passion for food and wellness, Alyssa Northrop received her Masters of Public Health in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan in 2008. Following completion of a dietetic internship through the University of Michigan Health System in 2009, Ms. Northrop became a Registered Dietitian and incorporated nutrition consulting into her practice at Kaizen Healing Arts Wellness Center. She currently writes nutrition-related articles for the Twin Cities YMCA website and the Chef Marshall O’Brien Group. Ms. Northrop practices holistic nutrition with an emphasis on mindful eating. Through nutrition counseling sessions you will develop a more joyful relationship with food while achieving your personal nutrition and wellness goals.Â
